The library holds ASTT's technical papers, webinar recordings, guidelines, case studies and reference material, all organised by trenchless technology.
Searching
Type a topic or a few words from a title, abstract or author, for example HDD river crossing or CIPP. Once you've typed a few letters, a Closest in meaning panel also suggests items on the same subject, even when they don't use your exact words.
Filtering
Narrow the results with:
- Type, such as paper, case study, webinar, guideline, standard or primer
- Technology, such as HDD, microtunnelling, pipe bursting or CIPP lining
- Sector, such as water, gas, telecoms or power
- Year
- Access: Open to all or Members
Switch between List, Grid and Thumbnails views, and use Clear all to start again.
The technology list follows the ISTT classification, so the same terms are used across the library and the corporate members directory.
Opening an item
Every item shows its title, authors, year, abstract, technologies and sector. As a member you'll also see:
- Read paper (PDF) for papers
- the recording player for webinars
The PDF opens straight away. The link behind it is made for you and expires after a minute, so to point a colleague to a paper, share the page link rather than the file link.

Alongside each paper you'll see Corporate members delivering its technology. It's a quick way to find companies with hands-on experience in what you're reading about.
