Using this site

By using this website you agree to these terms. They apply to visitors and to signed-in ASTT members. If you use the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

Draft — awaiting ASTT review.

This terms of use was prepared as a sensible starting point, not as legal advice. ASTT should have it reviewed by a qualified adviser before launch.

Accounts

Member accounts are for one person. Do not share your sign-in link or let others use your account. Access depends on a current ASTT membership; when a membership lapses, member-only areas close.

Acceptable use

Do not use this website to:

  • send unsolicited commercial messages, recruitment spam or bulk marketing to other members;
  • harass, abuse, impersonate or mislead anyone;
  • scrape, bulk-download or republish the member directory or the technical library;
  • attempt to bypass access controls, or probe the security of the site;
  • upload anything unlawful, defamatory, or infringing someone else's rights.

ASTT may suspend or remove access where these rules are broken.

Member and corporate content

Corporate members and individual members are responsible for the content they publish here — booth profiles, job listings, messages and profile text. By publishing it you confirm you have the right to do so, and you give ASTT permission to display it on this site. ASTT may edit or remove content that is inaccurate, out of date or contrary to these terms.

The technical library

Papers, case studies, guidelines and recordings in the library remain the property of their authors or original publishers. ASTT makes them available to members for personal professional use and study. You may not redistribute, resell or republish them, or post them on another website, without permission from the copyright holder. Where a document carries its own licence or conference terms, those terms apply.

Technical guidance is not engineering advice

Material on this website — including library documents, guidelines, specifications and Special Interest Group publications — is general information about trenchless practice. It is not project-specific engineering advice and must not be relied on as a substitute for the judgement of a suitably qualified engineer familiar with your site conditions. To the extent permitted by law, ASTT, its council and its contributors accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on this material.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Links to member websites, the ISTT and other organisations are provided for convenience. ASTT does not control or endorse their content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Nothing in them limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or other laws that cannot be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms and will note the date of the change here.
