Abstract
The Lawrey Gardens Outfall B76 Local Drainage Improvement (LDI) project was initiated to address critical infrastructure deterioration and mitigate risks associated with a storm pipe and stormwater flow through a box culvert which crosses under railway tracks. Located in Calgary, Alberta, the site features aging stormwater infrastructure, including a 600 mm concrete pipe inside of a 1200 x 1200 mm box culvert under an active railway line. The project employed Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining to rehabilitate the deteriorated storm pipe, extend its service life, and reduce liability for the City of Calgary. This paper outlines the challenges, design considerations, and implementation strategies used to deliver the project within environmental and budgetary constraints.
