Design, planning and execution of trenchless pressure pipe rehabilitation projects with the Primus Line system
Heiko Manzke, Jerry Sunarho
Abstract
The paper focuses on the collaboration between Sydney Water and the German producer of the Kevlar® reinforced composite lining system Primus Line for the rehabilitation of pressurised drinking water mains. It describes the cooperation in planning and executing trenchless rehabilitation projects together and shows, how Sydney Water assessed the technology and performed the installation of the Kevlar® reinforced composite lining system. The paper shows the make-up of the Primus Liner as well as the functionality of the corresponding termination fittings. The paper presents two case studies on the trenchless rehabilitation of pressure mains using the Kevlar® reinforced composite lining system within Sydney Water.
