Abstract
The Warragul Trunk Sewer project was part of the $A13 million Warragul works undertaken by Gippsland Water to improve sewerage systems within the region. Approximately 1,5000m of microtunnelling was utilized during the project, which connected residential properties to a central sewer system. This paper seeks to inform the audience on the broad range of conditions in which microtunnelling can be utilized, with the Warragul Trunk Sewer case study being an example of this. Fulton Hogan was the principal contractor, with HOBAS the pipe supplier and Vermeer the equipment manufacturer.
